New PlayStation Esports YouTube channel
PlayStation tweeted Check out the brand-new PlayStation Esports YouTube channel. Watch revealing pro interviews, in-depth how-tos, breathtaking community highlights, and more. PlayStation, a business that is owned by Sony, has announced the launch of a new YouTube channel for esports.
The channel, a first for Sony, will include a variety of esports-related content, such as player interviews, guides, and other material not available on the regular PlayStation channels.
Although starting a YouTube channel may not initially seem like a big deal, it is a crucial new step in Sony’s expansion inside the esports sector. There are currently only two videos on the channel, one of which is a YouTube Short, and fewer than a thousand followers. The channel is known by Sony as the “home of PlayStation Esports on YouTube”.
In addition to a welcome video, there is a film that explains how to use PlayStation to participate in esports competitions. The YouTube Short video, which features an interview with Tom and Tony Cannon, the creators of the Evolution Championship Series (ECS), a fighting game competition that Sony will purchase in 2022, provides a better overview of the channel. For some time now, Sony has been steadily advancing in the esports industry. In addition to purchasing EVO, the biggest FGC competition in the world, Sony has also introduced its own hardware line named INZONE.
The Evolution Championship Series was one of Sony’s INZONE brand’s initial partnerships after it was established, however, the brand has since expanded to include relationships with Guild Esports and the VALORANT Champions Tour. In July 2022, Sony also purchased the esports event site Repeat. gg, significantly enhancing its competitive offers. It is not yet known if the new channel will be followed by other esports-related actions.
